Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery requires up to 6 additional years of hospital based surgical and anesthesia training. As an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon, Drs. Walters & Smith manage a wide variety of problems relating to the Mouth, Teeth and Facial Regions. Drs. Walters & Smith practice a full scope of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery with expertise ranging from Cosmetic Facial Surgery to Corrective Jaw Surgery and Wisdom Tooth Removal. The doctors have advanced training in dental implants and provide training to dentists in the local community. They diagnose and treat Facial Pain, Facial Injuries and TMJ disorders.
Our staff is trained in assisting with IV Sedation within our state of the art office setting. Patients are continuously monitored during and after surgery. In addition, General Anesthesia is provided by a Certified Nurse Anesthetist in an equipped operating room in our facility.
