Most of the time, the first appointment to our office includes an oral evaluation and a consultation. We’ll get to know you, understand your diagnosis, and discuss your options for treatment. We will also explain your options for anesthesia. This appointment is also intended to ask any questions you may have. Please let us know if you have any.
It is important that you bring the following items with you to your first visit:
- Referral slip from your dentist
- Any applicable X-rays and list of current medications
- Medical and/or dental insurance information
- Driver’s license or another government-issued ID
If you are under 18 years of age, a parent or guardian is required to attend the consultation visit with you.
We care about your safety. Please alert us prior to surgery if you have any medical condition that may be of concern, such as diabetes, high blood pressure, artificial heart valves and joints, or rheumatic fever. Let us know about any medications you are taking, such as heart medication, aspirin, or anticoagulant therapy (blood thinners). Please contact our office at any time if you have any questions or concerns before or after your first appointment.
